California SUN part 2

Ashton at the beach.
The Hogan. I have never seen one of these before...up close. Bryce is our great tour guide when we go on vacation. It's not just getting to the destination for our vacation, it is the experience. The history tour of where we are traveling through. WE had a great time going through this beautiful and fascinating land. This is our second stop...the Hogan.

The children learning how Navajo Indians lived & how some still live this way...fascinating!
The cute little Indian lady showing us around the hogan.
Super cool dad! Thanks!
Monument Valley. It's better in person!...do you recognize this scene? This is where Forrest Gump was running when he said he had enough. Such amazing land...down in Southern EASTERN Utah.

Photography

I love taking pictures! I want to always REMEMBER. Remember how things were. This is one of the many tractors that my father in law has. He has about 18 0r 19. John Deere. Yes, we are fans. We love the green and yellow! This picture makes me smile. taken: in Monticello, Utah July 2010
For some odd reason I love airplanes...it is amazing to me that they have so much power and that a machine can fly! It's awesome.
From our back yard.We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of earth.... Highland, UtahEvery day there is a different sunset or rise. I love to try to capture both. At the end of the day I remember that we all are in this together and that we each get to share the sun, moon & stars. That there is some common bond between us all and that Heavenly Father is the God of this magnificent world we live in! :)

Forever a friend

My friend Nicole and Julio her husband came to visit us. Nicole is a friend from high school. I remember first meeting her when I moved to Citrus Heights. I was going into ninth grade. She hated me because we both shared the name and we were in the same ward. Funny how we are friends now. :) We were such cheese balls. Well, let me clarify...I was the cheese ball and I'm afraid I still am! :) We would sing and dance to Depeche Mode, Smiths and all the 80's music. Would go dancing to the youth dances... Make up some random dance and thought we we're the BOMB! Hahaha! We shared our dreams of going on a mission...Nicole did and I did not.(I had my papers in though) My mission was and IS Bryce. It's great to have a friend you have not seen in years and start back where you left off. Thank you Nicole! You have always been a great example to me. We will "forever be YOUNG".

Simplicity

Bryce invited me up to golf at the Homestead resort in Midway. This was back in July.I didn't golf with him and the boys but, I did enjoy the ride. It was a nice break for me. I enjoyed relaxing and hanging out. I appreciated Bryce being so thoughtful of me knowing I needed an out. After golf he had to go back to work and told me to go shopping in Park City. Wahoo! Fun for me! What a wonderful husband! As I was sitting waiting for the him. I saw this butterfly landing. How beautiful and simple life can be...when you take the time to enjoy it. :)

Ashton's WorLd

Bryce and I went for a walk in the morning and we came out to this. My assumption was that we must have called the children in for the evening and his toys were left as is. Little things like this remind me of how simple life is when you are a child. How the cars are of his world and how mom & dad are just there to help him with his needs. I hope I can remind myself everyday to "Love & enjoy them while they are little".
