Ho Ho Ho...Clana Claus came!

Merry Christmas everyone! We SO did not get out our Christmas cards this year! I'm so sorry too! Life just got busy for us this season. Working on MY Christmas present just took over. (the kitchen). We had a busy Christmas this year. All of the Lyman's came over for Christmas eve. We had the painter leave at 5 and people we're coming at 5:30 but, you know NO stress here. Are you kidding me?I was trying to dust off everything from all the work that was done, getting food prepared and children looking their best. Okay, some truth to that. My love ordered this crock pot full of chili Verde, had everyone bring something.... It turned out awesome. Thanks babe! For saving the party! Then we had ton of family in and out on Christmas & New Years. My younger brother Chad was staying with us...well because he was getting married on the 28th in the SLC temple. Another story later for that... We then had my sister come and stay. And all the Westcotts over to party for the New Year. We have been extremely blessed and I know Heavenly Father is always watching over us. I love this season so much! I am so grateful for the reason why we celebrate it! I am so grateful to have my savior in my life. I hope everyone had a wonderful season of celebrating our Savior's birth.
Pictures this year were a struggle....(hence we didn't get cards out!) Getting 5 children to smile at the same time is a hard one! I was excited to because they all had the apparel , back ground but, we just could not get it this time! grr. Well and we did not have much time to take the pictures. This was a snap shot before church. I love this one because Bryce is peeking through the window! I love that Bryce is such a goober...sometimes! :)

A silent night...I love the ambiance that Christmas brings! It's seriously magical!
Christmas morning.
Lady and her doll.
Don't you love the look? I remember those days!I hope I'm still like that! Am I? Hmm...
Meryn and Azure loved their jeep! It was a sunny day with no snow. So, yeah! They got to ride their jeep! ALL day too I might add.
Ashton showing what "Clana Claus" left in his stocking. We don't want these little ones to grow up! I'll miss their language that we love so much! Merry Christmas friends! We love you dearly!

Out with the OLD in with the NEW

This was once our beautiful kitchen. We have been wanting to change our kitchen ever since we built this home. Well, the island at least! Holy moly we have changed the island at least 5 times in 9 1/2 years. So...Bryce had a week off over Thanksgiving and this is what we started doing....
taking out the slate floors....
We added molding to the entry way.
The dining room ceiling.
Trying to capture the molding....over here..
Ta Da! We went from traditional Utah look...to a more modern look. Bryce and I love this style! We like that it looks slick and clean.
This project seriously took over our lives for a month! Seriously! We tore out the slate floors put in traverntene. Put in some new cabinets, painted some old. Took out a wall with a door that was separating the dining with kitchen and left it opened. Added molding surrounding the dining room from the entrance of the home to the kitchen. Molding in entry and office. We literally had blood, major sweat and my tears to this project. It was all worth it though! It was fun to work with Bryce again...on something SO major. We built this home together and it brought back lots of memories doing it. Thanks babe for working my tail end off! Like 18-20 hours a DAY! For at least 4 days! Now we can reap what we sowed! :) We have wonderful friends that had us over for dinner and saved our lives on Sundays. WE we're so grateful for the much love of a simple act. Thank you Hawkins & Youngs! We owe you big!

Let the season begin! The Nutcracker....

My friend Jessica invited us to go to the Nutcracker. Our children are the same age. Alayda and Eva and Meryn and Marli. It was a fun to dress up and go to the show! :)

The first snow fall.

The kids had their cousins Stahli and Isley over to make a awesome snowman! No help from the adults! We sat inside and made them warm hot chocolate and cookies. Bryce is the best at making the hot coco! Yum! I'm not much of a fan of the drink but, I must say...my hubby makes some yummy coco! Let the winter begin! Can't wait to get up on the mountain!

This field in the back of our home is awesome to go play in. To make forts and such. These boys were out there all day!

Halloween 2010

Okay, I'm three months behind in blogging. We took on a "home improvement project" and it has taken over our lives. We are done now...so life can get back to normal. We had a great time this year with Halloween. Even though it RAINED...we still dressed up and went out. We had Allyson and Spencer & kids to go trick or treating.
Ashton and Azure wanted to be included in all the fun with the kids going to school...
Meryn our sweet little witch!

The witch and the devil! Probably not a good combination! :) This is Meryn's little friend Marli.
Eva and Alayda... The two VAMPIRES!

Cole was Napoleon...He's to cute to be Napoleon!
Cole's cousin Stahli is behind the mask. I love this look Cole is pulling off!

Our family! Oh, my gosh I haven't laughed so hard in a while. This was a ton of fun to dress up. Bryce was an excellent Elvis! Haha.
My sister in law Allyson is so hilarious. Oh,my land we we're laughing so hard. She was a polygamist. She had the hair dew and white gym shoes to go with this. Holy crud it was funny! In Utah people might not think she was dressed up for the occasion. But, she was! :) I love this little lady to death!
At the Westcott home we love to have an excuse to decorate for a holiday! We will pull out the holiday decor a month early and start decorating! I love it! Bryce on the other hand would like it if I can hold off until the month that the holiday is in. But, we can't! Or maybe should I say...I can't. Anyway, Our traditional Halloween baking was cupcakes this year. I think I will stick to cookie decorating instead.
The kids...in our old kitchen.
