Making Thai food.

Our Chef Ty. Ty went on a mission to Thailand so he learned how to make the food. This is our brother in law's brother (so family). Thank you Ty for you time. We had a lot of fun with you! We decided to shake up our traditional conference dinner (pot roast) and make something different. It was a lot of prepping and fast cooking. We had a great time. We fed all the kids and put the little ones to bed. So, we got to have a quite dinner. I even turned on some jazz music, you know... something for the back ground.
This is us peeling the flour rice noodles. It took the longest in prepping.

Alayda jumped right in and learned how to cook. She always does.

I love this smile of my booa. Such a great smile! He would get mad at me if he saw the blog with me displaying one of my nicknames for him!
Here we are getting ready to feast... Bryce, Ty, Allyson and Spencer. Wahla! Here is the final result. It turned out so good. This is 4 dishes we made. It was so much food! What a perfect ending to a perfect day!

Conference Weekend

Meryn. Our children love the foot long roll ups.
This is a picture of the pre-conference party. It was on Friday when it all started. We had Bryce's sister Allyson and her husband Spencer come over for the weekend. This is our nephew Isley.
Conference weekend is always so good. It was such a great 2 days of uplifting! We really enjoyed the talks. It rained all day on Saturday and we were getting stir crazy by the end of the last session. I was grateful that the rain let up so we could go outside and embrace some fresh air. This is a picture of Ashton. Every Conference weekend we get See's suckers. It is a Westcott family tradition that I try to carry on. Yum, they are good! As you can see he is loving it!
Ashton and Azure eating their suckers. Such a mess! At least it was contained.
Azure eating her sucker. She is in heaven and if you know Azure you will know that she is. She loves food.
Azure. She is so stinking funny! She is always making faces!
Cole and Ashton. He is such a great big brother.
Little Ashton to cute...not to post.
I could not believe this was her natural pose laying on her daddy.I had to get a picture.
Bryce went to go lay down and the kids started coming in. Our bed always seems to be the melding pot! We always wake up to someone in our bed in the middle of the night.

Yeah! We finally replaced our lost camera!

I lost our camera up in Bear Lake this summer. I was so bummed! I even cried about it. ( Yes, I'm a little sensitive) It has taken me a while to replace it. We finally claimed it on our insurance because even though we have to pay a deductible it was still worth paying! So, after some research of the best camera to get for us we ordered it. It came yesterday and I am so happy! So, Yeah I will be taking pictures and posting more...hopefully!:)

New Orleans, LA

My love and I in New Orleans. It was quite quaint in the French quarter. We had a lot of fun! We enjoyed the history and the time together.
I like how narrow the streets are here in the French Quarter. It is so old. I loved how old it was. It was really pretty and unique. This was probably my favorite part of New Orleans. Do not mistake Bourbon St. in the French Quarter... It is truly Satan's hole!!!

The streets of New Orleans....... The oldest pub in America... in the French quarter.

Horse carriage ride.
So, I had the clerk at the Hilton store take a picture of me. I had to capture the New Orlean's scene.
Yes, it is me again.
New Orleans cemetery....
New Orleans is famous for their cemetery's. It is really cool to see... It remind's me of Euopre... like I have been but this is what I would image it to be.
New Orleans is very green. I loved the trees how they draped the streets. It is also SO noisy at night you can hear the humming of the bug's. It is so loud. I don't understand how anyone could live with that! Iguess a price to pay for living in a swamp.

Bryce & I at the Elm's mansion.
This home was apart of the Katrina tour. It was 3 hours. The time went by fast. It was really interesting. If you look close above the front door you will see spray paint from the National guard... saying who their rank was and how many casualties there were. Home's were flooded up to the attic. When you toured this city you could see what a swamp it really is. It really got attacked. Lots of business refuse to rebuild after the HUGE flood. I don't blame them.
This is St. Louis Catherdal. It is the oldest active Roman Catholic catheral in the U.S. It was built in 1724. It is a beautiful building. We really enjoyed New Orlean's.
Bryce on the River walk.
This girl was apart of a parade that they have once a day down by the "French Quarter". Just giving you a taste of the place!
New Orlean's is a crazy place. There was music like this all over. Where ever we were there was always something playing in the back ground.
New Orleans from the Mississippi river.
Cute little tug boat on the river.
The" Orange Bronze dude".
We just got off the "Natchez Steamboat" on the Mississippi river and here is one of the side attraction's. He looked like my cousin "Chip". I look as Orange as he does!
We got a "special invitation" to the aquarium. It was closed to the public. It was only open for our group. (Bryce had some business here). It was pretty fun.
